Overview

SharpIron ("we," "us," or "our") is a ministry, operating under Always Ready, that connects men into small accountability groups. This policy describes the personal information we collect through sharpiron.org (the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of this site and to anyone who requests to join a group.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect very little, and only what's needed to place you in a group:

• Sign-up information you provide. When you request to join a group, we ask for your name and email address, and may ask a short question or two about your situation so we can place you with the right group.
• Communications data. If you email us directly, we retain that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not collect financial information, government-issued identification, precise location data, or any other sensitive personal information. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, so we do not automatically collect device, browsing, or online activity data about visitors to this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to:

• place you with a SharpIron group and connect you with a group leader;
• communicate with you about your group and SharpIron generally; and
• respond to questions or requests you send us.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not use it to train AI models.

How We Share Your Information

Sign-up requests are currently submitted through a Google Form and stored in a Google Sheet accessible only to SharpIron group leaders and organizers. Google's own privacy practices apply to how that data moves through their systems — you can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Beyond that, we share personal information only:

• with the SharpIron group leader you're being placed with, so they can reach you;
• with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as Google, for forms and email) and who are bound to use your information only to provide that service; or
• if required to comply with the law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SharpIron or others.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or interest-based advertising.

Cookies & Other Technologies

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve a standard request to Google's servers. We do not currently use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, since we have no tracking to disable.

Data Retention

We keep sign-up information for as long as it's useful for placing and supporting you in a group. If you'd like your information corrected or removed, contact us using the details below and we'll take care of it.

Your Privacy Choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct information that's inaccurate; or
• Delete your information from our records.

Just email us at the address below and we'll respond directly — no account login or formal process required. If you're a resident of a U.S. state with its own privacy law (such as California, Nevada, or Texas), the rights above are available to you as well. Since we don't sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or engage in profiling, there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect. That said, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Other Sites and Services

This site links to third-party resources — the ESV Bible, Marco Polo, Instagram, and others — that we don't control. Their own privacy policies govern any information you share with them.

Children's Privacy

SharpIron is intended for adult men. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site and our processes evolve. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
